Throwbacks’ Throwdown ~ Press, Reviews, B.S.

Billy ‘The Jack’ here. I’ve been having fun now for a few months playing out with my Modern Throwbacks. I’m diggin’ the way my mates have been praised in this blog post I recently discovered. Here’s some juicy quotes:

“What can I say the crazy people entertain the world.”

“[Arrow - lead guitar] held the sound together from the sell to the amazing frantic psycho riffs. He even switched guitars mid show. That is so rock star.”

“I spent half the show thinking to myself “how the (expletive deleted) did [Jen The Cleaner - bass guitar] meet up with these guys[?]”

There is so much more to love about this guy’s take on the Throwback scene. Enjoy it, kiddies!

…and another review from further back…

Here’s a nice little ditty from Tom Hallet of “‘Round The Dial Magazine“, who posted this review of our debut CD release (available soon).

“…The Modern Throwbacks, proudly lay down a sound that fairly screams for hot summer nights, main drag cruisin’ and devil-may-care debauchery. Chock full of rock n’ roll’s original bite, Bringin’ It Back hearkens back to the spirits of Eddie Cochran, Bon Scott, and Johnny Thunders…”
