As you may already know, T.M. Horra had left the building a while ago to rock with a band more to his style. We have been lookin’ for a new drummer to replace him for just as long, but we ain’t found one yet.

If you’ve ever tried to form a band, you already know that good drummers are highly coveted. While there are some great rock drummers out there, we’re not really a ‘rock’ band. We ‘re a swing band (albeit one with scorching energy, loud guitars and a rock and roll attitude) and we’ve yet to find a decent rock drummer who can swing.

Rather than whine about our misfortune and gripe all over the add-pages, the Modern Throwbacks are forging ahead with Billy ‘The Jack’ (a decent rock drummer in his own right — even though his swing is choppy still) sitting behind the tubs, singin’ his silly songs. We’ll play this way until we find a daring drummer willing to take over.
